I'm picking up some paving slabs later in the week in my 3.0 estate anyone done this recently how many will it safely take?
these are small sized concrete slabs 45cm sq.

I reckon they are 15kg each (appox).

Spread the load across the Car, ie, some in the Passenger Foot Well, fold back seats down plonk some on there then the rest in the back, probably a few more in the back if you have self levelling.

What you really want for moving loads of paving slabs is a BX estate. We loaded so many that the car wouldn't lift. Then, leaving it running, took some out until it did. Leaving it running was the key, as we then put them back in and drove off. Saved making two trips!

Sorry mate can't answer your question.  But I do know, from experience, that you can get 150 engineering bricks into the boot of a Mk1 Granada.  Issues were the smell of burning rubber (rear tyres rubbing) and the extremely light and vague steering on the way home.  Still its amazing what you can carry in a company car

I've got a feeling the self leveling is not working but I will soon find out when I load it up with these.
24 slabs is 360 kg which if you think about it is just like having 4 really fat passengers on board which is nothing much.

My mv6 estate has carried 20 standard bags of sand / cement / gravel home from B&Q without bottoming out.
I believe they are about 10kg each

Ive taken over 500kg of things in mine with self levelling suspension, just go very slow over any speed bumps and take corners very gently. Also braking will be increased so generally just drive very carefully, your probably not in a rush so no need to do anything silly.
