Change full beam bumb
« on: 15 October 2013, 10:03:09 »

I have a Omega -00 facelift. Usually changing the bulb on a car is not a problem, just remove the metal clip and take the bulb out. But the full beam does not have a metal clip, and in the instructions it says to "press down on the connector and take it out of the reflector". The only thing this results in is that the connector comes lose from the bulb and I end up with it in my hand without the bulb itself... Don't know how hard you're supposed to press down, doesn't feel to good.
Any help is appreciated.

Plug off, carefully spread the connection on the bulb apart slightly. Refit the plug - should be a tight fit, then pull the plug and buld out together :y might need jiggling as you pull :-\

As the leveling system for my HIDs doesn't work I thought I might as well take the whole headlight out of the car, and look at that electric engine. A bit troublesome if you only want to change the bulb  :) But I'll keep your tip in mind for the next time, thanks!

If your removing the whole unit, the a pair of pliers on the bulb contacts :y

Leveling not working could be busted adusters. Turn the headlights on, engine off, and you should hear the motors buzz briefly  :y
