Wheel question.
« on: 25 October 2013, 17:49:24 »

I could do with a bit help from our resident wheel and tyre guru's,I'm looking at a couple of sets of wheels on egay, and one set has come off a 99' 2.0 ltr estate with 16'' wheels quoted with a rim width of 8.75J. This seems a bit wide? and if correct will they fit my 2000 3.0ltr MV6. Will be grateful for any advice :y :yw

Depends on the offset as much as anything :-\ iirc stock 16"s are 6.5j, ET 35 :y

They are Omega wheels but not sure wether the details given are correct and wether they are suitable for the MV6 performance level. Unfortunately my knowledge of wheels stops at them being round and fixed one to each corner :-\ ::)

...... and whether they are suitable for the MV6 performance level.  ......

An MV6 is as fast/slow as any other (V6) Omega   ::)  ::)  ::) It might go round corners better/faster due to stiffer suspension  ;)

Agreed...but just need to bottom out wether these wheels are the right ones before I part with my hard earned buying them and refurbing/new tyres etc :-\

you better off getting 17" wheels--tyres are cheaper than for 16"s
