Tried rotating tyres front to back?

If you're convinced it's setup, take to somewhere where they charge per adjustment?

What was the reason for changing them?
Tramlining. Vague steering.

9j rears. Won't fit the front. But tyre wear looks ok.

Hmm. That's a pain. I always put new tyres on the front, then rotate them to the rear when they start to tramline (which they do half way through their life with no visible wear issues.

Last ones (Mo) didn't behave like this. Even wear on both fronts, both edges worn, middle with a fair bit of meat left. So all normal.

Straight as a die. Surprisingly. Hence I bought again. Something degraded somewhere.

Could the shoulder wear be tipping it over the edge :-\

No mate, the last set wore evenly equally on both edges. Didn't tramline.

These are only 3months old. There's no shoulder wear that I can see so far. Although there is some, obviously. Just nothing wrong. All looks fine. And yet....

Exact same model on the sidewall. Grip level seems same. Handling seemed same when first fitted. ...

...just checked my records. It was the rears fitted 3 months ago, fronts where fitted in May. So older than thought, but still not behaving as the previous same set now. :(

I don't think its tyres though tbh, as the new bushes saw an improvement. If it was tyres, or something other than the parts changed,  I'd expect no change in handling.

Having said that, set up might account for the last 10% if that's degraded somehow in 3months...?

Steering idler is fine, although its the same as TB's one that lasted a year.
Bearings and ball joints all good.
Bushes fine, bolts tight.
Top mounts, I know the bearings are slightly pitted but they where when the car behaved.

Set up?

When you say 'bearings' do you mean wheel bearings :-\ they're quite sloppy at best, so possibly starting to wear :-\

If you're really can't put your finger on it, but positive that everything attached to the car is sound, that only leaves the geometry :-\

How old are the shocks :-\ though they would dramatically affect handling if failing...

Clutching at straws a bit, but you haven't done summat stupid like fill the petrol tank up when you normally leave it below a quarter :-\
