Brake pad low warning...
« on: 30 October 2013, 17:48:58 »

Hi guys,

Car's in for mot at the mo and i'll pop up details of the work needed in a separate thread if anyones interested.

However the brake pad warning message has come up on the dash even though i taped it up last time. i don't want this warning as i check them regularly and i'm scrimping and saving everywhere i can and don't wanna buy a new sensor.

SO.

can you remind me if its one i just tape up? or do i insert a paperclip in to short it out and then tape it up?

Just wrap the end and tape up :y

Although the sensor wire costs less than a couple of kebabs ::)

Of that age, sensors each side. So strip the wire leading to the pad, twist bare wires together & tape up.  :y

Febi sensors of Ebay are a cheaper option than genuine GM I've found.  :y
