As per my earlier thread I change the battery in my key fob, reason for this is that I have noticed that i have to get closer and closer to the car to unlock or lock it. Question is, is this just the car getting older and therefore the sensors in the car not as good or is it the key fobs need replacing.

Sorry battery changed but did not help.

Common problem is a pin breaking on the battery holder then it is a bit hit or miss if it works as sometimes the battery will be touching the PCB and at other times it won't. The other common problem is the button switches becoming unreliable. If your key fob has a red led check to make sure this is lighting for a 0.5 seconds every time you press the button.

A friend at work had his key repaired (quoted around £120.00 to replace at Renault) by these people www.remotekeyrepairs.co.uk cost £30.00, I have checked their site out & they list Vauxhall problems worth taking a look...
