Not that keen on it myself tbh.Probably have a couple of pints per year,when I occasionally feel like it.

Quite partial to a nice porter (brewing one tomorrow with luck) but Guinness is far from that. It is better in Dublin. In fact, it's better everywhere abroad, purely because you're drinking it to escape the local brew, or the fact that it's that or lager, IMHO.

Any beer/lager tastes better abroad, (home brew and some small batch obscure beers), simply because they're not made with water scraped straight out of the Thames

Nobody likes Guinness.  Nobody.

It's one of those 'traditional' things that the Irish despise yet the foreigners love.... "I went to Dublin and the Guinness was amazing"

I didn't go much on the beer in The States to be honest.    They're big into what they call 'craft beers' from micro breweries and it took much tasting and testing to find a decent one!

Most U.S. beers taste like pish anyway,
