Paypal escalated to a claim advice needed.
« on: 03 November 2013, 18:30:33 »

For the 1st time ive had to droo the hammer and whoop ass. Seen an ad on Facebook for a set of mv6 alloys dead dead cheap. Anyways done the deal and sent the money via paypal. After 2 weeks of buyer messing about and being busy at the inlaws and forgetting to post etc etc he finally said they were sent.

A week latter I asked him where they were at then he said I should of had them by.now but when I asked for tracking number and company he said he couldn't remember who then also claimed his missus kicked him outa the house and he was living in his car..... so I give him the benefit of the doubt and give him a bit of time to get his shit sorted but it was literally 40 days of total ott unbelievable excuse after excuse.

So anyways I tole him I wanted a refund or id open a case which he said he'd refund me when his "sick money" came in and living in a hostel. ......... so didnt get a bean off so had no choice but to open a case on paypal before the 45 day limit.  So I paid for the wheels to his father in law so when the case opened he messaged me thst he wasnt aware of the situation all he knew was that he'd recieved money and give it to the guy I was dealing with.

So the both guys went quiet on me so under advice for a paypal guy I escalated the case to a claim.

What happens next???? Has anyone been through a similar torment via paypal and shitty sellers? Anyone have any idea of possible outcome of my case?

Sorry for the rant and cheers for reading.

Unlikely Paypal will help you but they will be able to help you file a civil claim against him for damages relating to recieving money under false pretences.  Good luck!

The PayPal guy told me that even though the guy selling the wheels and the recipient of the cash was different that ultimately the guy thst recieved the cash is the person responsible.  Also siad that once I escalate it to a claim thst paypal would automatically withdraw the full amount from there paypal. Even if there balance was 0 it would be put into - the amount

A lesson if ever there was :'(

Don't buy shit off Facebook ::)

Good luck with that... if you gifted the money rather than paying for Goods/Services then that's it, game over :-\

Got a set of five refurbished ones here with tyres you can have....

...for £400 delivered ::)

Ah ha. Nailed the scum bag. Paypal emailed me to tell me I had won  :y sayimg as the seller never responded it wasnt going to be hard. So I text him to give him to let him know I got a refund and to go to hell to which he replied thanks mate for the incredibly cheap wonga loan he'd got off me and thst I had funded a night on the tiles for him. What a oppsing lying scumbag of hell.

Felt oh so much better knowing that he was going to have to explain to his father in law why money had been wrenched out of his account......

Ah, victory........ soooooo sweet
