I wish it was Friday. Not sure how many more ludicrous decisions, kneejerk reactions, and disorganised panic I can take this week.

Still, on the bright side, this time next week, I will no longer be working for HP

Heard a good one from my friend who spent most of his life working for Manweb up north.
Someone asked him if he knew where a certain manager was. 'Won't find him here, mate, its Poets day.'
'What's Poets day' was the reply
'P*ssed off early, tomorrow's Saturday'

 

Never heard that before, amused me, I must admit.

The latest trend with our management is positivity. Mixed in with some panic form the old school that still remain. The key thing is, simply, to tell everyone what they want to hear. This, coupled with spell bounding levels of arrogance, means that everything said must now be true. So we are expected to live in this alternate universe, where reality is non existent, and just believe.
While the company falls in its arse, again, and again, and again. But no matter. It's all good, it is what it is, let's keep looking forward.

The reality being, we learn nothing from mistakes, and repeat them so readily they have now become sop. But it's ok, "its all good".

Ffs.

But enough of this clap trap, its Friday. Don't spoil it with work bollards!

It's still only Thursday, don't worry.. it's just the misguided shift worker who thinks it's the weekend now

Although I just remembered I'm on-call this weekend. Bugger. And I really need to do the cam covers on the car before it catches fire.. better keep the phone on me for a change!
