......because the boss of a Japanese motor company says they might have to 'rethink their strategy'.
So, the future of our country's ecomomy depends upon Carlos the knowall.
Camoron should tell him to eff off.

Hm .. Nissan == Renault == France == EU. So that's no surprise, then.

Why oh why do they keep on about this leaving situation. Once there was a thing called the European Common Market. Countries joined, traded and all was well.
Then some bright spark decides that all the countries that trade should be governed from a central point and become 'as one'
Things have gone progressively downhill from then. >:(

Stick polictical union with Europe as far up Europe's preverbial as is humanly possible and lets get back to sensibility >:( >:(
And....if there is still room, push the Euro up there with it ;D

This is one of the early turns of the screw in a very big, heavily funded campaign which is being orchestrated behind the scenes by that personification of honesty and virtue - Lord Peter Mandelson. It will get worse, much much worse.

Yep, we will be told that Britain will be an economic wasteland outside of the EU, there will be no foreign investment, nobody will want to do business with us, trade barriers will be erected, companies will relocate back to the EU, everyone will lose their jobs, benefits will be cut, the NHS will collapse, we'll need visas to travel to the continent and many many more scare stories....  ::)

The trouble is that the majority of the British sheeple simply don't care and will fall for it.   ::)   The issue of the UK being an independent sovereign nation will hardly come into it.  :-\

IF there is a referendum expect a narrow majority to stay in the EU.  :(

He who pays the piper calls the tune, coincidently the BBC gets EU subsidies, for those that didn't know.

From what I can see this is a normal BBC scare story, where the Nissen boss, said they would have to evaluate their strategy like any sensible business person would in a changing world:

The BBC interpreted this with their institutional EU bias from a glass half empty view point that it puts the Sunderland factory and jobs at risk.

But you could equally interpret it from glass half full perspective, that freed from onerous EU regulations and their expensive scarce energy policies, the evaluation, could mean more investment and jobs in the UK. Turkey in the last few years has done well for investment and manufacturing where they are not in the EU.
