Have just found a new track rod, trouble is there seems to be a different part number for face lift and pre face lift what's the physical differences between them,can i use it on a fl car

its the complete unit inner and outer and adjuster..

Yes, it will fit. I did not know they were different. I have three PFL cars and three FL cars and I fit track rods indiscrimately. I always buy aftermarket ones, so much cheaper then Vx. They fail MOTs now if the gaiters are torn. I buy German ATE boxes of 2 wishbones, 2 track rods and 2 2 drop links for £70 the lot, and fit the parts as necessary.

I have bought from them a couple of times... quick, tidy service, and for the price, the parts are pretty durable, lasting 20k or so

Their wishbones are pretty well built compared to Firstline and Delphi rubbish ones...
