KEY FOB STOPPED OPENING CAR

just bought another omega and this also has the same fault as my other one [ key fob wont open car] put new battery in and tried the sync thing and its still not working . i have noticed though that the fob does not flash when you press it . any ideas thanks carl

It should flash. Try pressing with your fingernail, the rubber gets hard with time and prevents the contact being made. If that fails, check battery is in the right way up, and look for any breaks in the circuitry inside the key fob. I have had to solder wires between battery mount and circuit board where bits of the battery mount have broken off.

You can get new fob shells off ebay... I got two for 5.00. Soldered the battery holder in and... Good as new.

The micro switches might also need replacing, did mine and now works like new. Some of the case suppliers also supply the switches.
