The key was rounded off and only just managed to turn the wheel nut , if they had been on any tighter it would have been socket smashing time  :( Never have liked the locking devices especially when some monkey uses a windy gun on them  ::)

Never had a problem with any I have fitted on the alst 2 Omegas and V6 Cavalier..although I always use the same tyre place and they always do wheel nuts up the proper way by hand wrench then torque wrench..they are the exception to the rule with most garages though...family business :y

Thats the thing  :y This being my new car , its obvious they have been done up with a windy gun at a garage from previous owner . I'd like some sort of security so mite look into a decent set of locks and wont let a garage near them  :) Had to bin these as i dont think they would come of again due to the key being worn out  :y

Same here, Put some chrome wheel nut caps on all 5 studs instead, Can't be removed by hand. They com with like a tweezer type tool, Would delay a burglar better than the plastic GM caps  :y

Never had a problem with a stripped lock nut or lock key........

.......have had problems with misplacing every key I've ever owned and had to chisel them off and replace with standard  :-[
