He didn't kill it, he was eviscerating it. The whale died of natural causes and I guess they were performing an autopsy...  :-\

Maybe they're partial to a bit of Whale Tripe in the Faroe Islands!!  ;) and yes, i bet it stank to high heaven!!!  :o
