Should I..
« on: 29 November 2013, 13:49:03 »

I just can't decide what to do..
I have always fancied a 3.2 omega saloon, I have had my 2.6 estate for over 7 years now but I feel like a change. If I had the space I would have both but thats not going to happen.
So the question is should I stay with what I know or sell mine and buy a 3.2

I would stick with what you know mate,I know Ive just done a post on a 3.2 that I fancied, but I was looking at in terms of how much needs spending to bring my 30 Mv6 up to Spec. In short lots :-X.   :y

Depends, Your car has been well sorted, whereas a new to you one will need a bit of fettling. Then again, the difference in performance between 2.6 and 3.2 is significant, IMHO.

Buy a 3.2 Estate, and swap all the best bits from the 2.6, then sell the 2.6 :y

Do you actually need an estate ? Ive never seen the point in owning one unless you really need one.

Unless you know the car and its history first hand, which is unlikely, I would be asking if you can be bothered to go through all the agro of fixing up another omega.

They all need work, and it's always the same stuff that needs doing.

Unless you really want the performance, its time and money waisted IMO. There nout wrong with your is there? Iirc...?

or if you can handle the expenses of both and restart from scratch keep the 2.6 until 3.2 is completely sorted (which will never happen!)

Buy a saloon, more beauty than an estate  :y

OR

Buy a 3.2 Estate, and swap all the best bits from the 2.6, then sell the 2.6 :y

+1  :y

I wouldn't change though especially if I sorted out all the issues and know well my car.
