I am swapping key set and immobilizer on a 97 Elite ,what will i need to remove from the donor vehicle?

The receiving ring from round the ignition switch and the Engine ECU, I think, as I believe it's a matched set (key chip, receiver and ECU).

IS  that the ecu near the battries and relays, Bosch 0281010273 ?

For immobiliser, you need transponders from keys, Immobiliser ECU from around ignition barrel and engine ECU from beside battery.  Ideally the donor's carpass as well, as you never know when you need to program...

Personally, I prefer to fix whats wrong when it comes to the security side of things, rather that replace.

Car pass is a credit card thingy and normally in beside the car book pack in the glovebox.

If you don't have one then can be available from VX dealer on payment of a fee.  ;D
