Copy of reply I got sent when questioned few weeks ago:

Hmmm I'm not too sure on this as they are made to fit an estate omega but it's not the same part number.

My uncle worked for GM for many years until recently and knows quite abit about these parts as they made them.

He said you can call him for him to explain more about it if you want.

His name is tony and his number is

07802 622654

Hi Andrew

Details for part numbers are below:

This was the first reply I got ...part numbers dont relate to either S/L Shocks:

Omega rear shocks: identification 90447391 or  22081651 same part, different codes used.

Thanks

Alex

These are what you need although sure they would be slightly cheaper on TC from participating Stealers

Says in the listing that they are for self leveling. Someones tiled floor suggests it is the item for sale. Just the mystery of what type of vehicle they fit.

According to entwoods info ..084 is saloon ..085 is estate.

These are additional  numbers, what ever they are for a saloon rear shock.

For those that "pre mot" there vehicles with a rag will find very little fluid/ damping action. Both shocks were leaking thru the metal wall.
