« on: 19 December 2013, 09:18:47 »

Omega Elite 2.6 facelift (2003) rear and front springs please, i found the end of one under the car, haven't looked yet to see which one but didn't want to come back and ask the same question again.
Presumably Vx only on these (not aftermarket)

General consensus is by kyb springs from either eurocar parts or from ebay.
also saloon and estate are different, also do you have S/L suspension, again different. Springs.
alternatively post a wanted ad up, ;D

I personally don't recommend KYB now, I fitted a pair of them to the back of my 2.2. They rusted through very, very quickly and snapped.

I now recommend Boge, they are lasting much longer for me. Around 2 years old and still look like new, the KYB ones snapped in under 2 years!

you will need to ensure you get S/L springs for the rear, as lots of people have removed the S/L you might get a rear set by placing a wanted ad, I haven't got any, don't know if the elite, RobG is breaking has S/L on also albitz might have some,.

Yep, springs are in the parts section if OP is interested.

Options depend if your happy with the handling? If your happy with oe a Elite ride then options are limited to GM really. Kyb do SL rear springs but there have been reports of premature rusting and breakages. Boge from AllGerman car parts or Vx are the only real options there, so get the fronts there too. Depending on what's needed of course.

Trade club does help with GM springs though so might be worth pricing up first.

Can't help with your polite request for part no.s though, (I do cringe a bit when people post, part number "required", like its an order.) , as the atC web site is very poor these days. :(
