Hello,

I have a mess of an Omega-B 2.5 TD - MY1996. It's in a bad shape, but supposedly it worked a month ago, when the keyhole broke. Then they changed the keyhole with a Opel Omega unknown year - but petrol engine and the car didn't start. Then they bought a new ECU (with the transponder) and ofcourse the car still doesen't start.
I guess they bought the new ecu because the old one can't be paper cliped and looks quite dead to my eyes too. Now the problem with the new ECU is that the MIL light flashes constantly. When I paper clipped it, I got errors 19 and 85 (Yes I have checked and the transponder is connected correctly and the correct chip is on the transponder ring). Just now there was someone with Tech-2 here, and he couldn't connect to the ECU.

Oh I almost forgot, when I try to start it it turns - but there's no fuel. So the fuel pump is not active (on neither ecu).

What could be wrong? I guess that the error codes (the 19 in specific, from the crankshaft sensor) could be the old ones, from the Omega this ECU pair was taken out? I looked and couldn't find a manual way of resetting the codes. Any tips on where to look would be appreciated.

I have a TD 2.5 but my knowledge is limited. However I think that you must use the correct ECU, manual and auto are different for example.

All the numbers are the same so I think it's a safe bet. But what do I know, it's a mess.

Case closed, it seems that the old ECU was simply dead and the new one I bought didn't come with the right transponder/not working. After I did immo-off now everything works.
