The 12 threads of Christmas
« on: 22 December 2013, 21:37:08 »

On the 12 threads of Christmas, my admin said to me.....

As it is a car forum and some people are objecting to other topics, how about running over the holiday period the 12 threads of Christmas on car related topics. The most popular topic will get started on Christmas day and then one for each day. Lets see how many can make it through without being locked before the 6th of January.  :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o

I'm nominating STEMO to run a book on who loses their post count or gets banned and when?  ;D ;D ;D ;D

These are my initial thought on the topics:

1. Same or seasonal tyres?
2. How do Omega brakes compare?
3. Auto or manual gearbox is best?
4. Leather or cloth for the ultimate seat comfort?
5. Petrol, LPG, Diesel, Electricity would be the best to power a proper Omega replacement?
6. The Omega looks best in which body and trim colours?
7. 16", 17" or 18" wheels are best on an Omega?
8. Paint matching, which is easier, black or white?
9. What model of Ford Focus should I replace an Omega with?
10. The best type and style of car air freshener?
11. 4, 6, or 8 cylinders, power v fuel consumption, which would you choose?
12. Front or rear wheel drive is best, why?

Feel free to add to or to change them so I can add what I decide the most popular for a thread each day.  :y :y :y :y

I think "make/brand of tyres" should be in there, and possibly "which oil should I use" .. :)

These are my initial thought on the topics:

1. Same or seasonal tyres? Same.
2. How do Omega brakes compare? Better than toffee, just...
3. Auto or manual gearbox is best? Manual, owt else is silly ::)
4. Leather or cloth for the ultimate seat comfort? Cloth is warmer, but leather is easier to wipe puke off...
5. Petrol, LPG, Diesel, Electricity would be the best to power a proper Omega replacement? Clearly Petrol.
6. The Omega looks best in which body and trim colours? Colour coded, black is faster, white is cooler, battenburg is best for traffic.
7. 16", 17" or 18" wheels are best on an Omega? 18"s, clearly.
8. Paint matching, which is easier, black or white? White. It's the same shade as Tippex  :-X
9. What model of Ford Focus should I replace an Omega with? 2.5 ST estate in orange.
10. The best type and style of car air freshener? A properly cleaned car shouldn't need one
11. 4, 6, or 8 cylinders, power v fuel consumption, which would you choose? 8 with the middle four gears locked out. Best of both worlds.
12. Front or rear wheel drive is best, why? Front if you like wheelspin and torque steer, rear if you have any self respect.

Feel free to add to or to change them so I can add what I decide the most popular for a thread each day.  :y :y :y :y
That should start the ball rolling...  :P

Okay, if you insist, to get the thread rolling, you can go first and here are your 5 questions:

All answers are confidential and will not be shown in public much;) :P

1. What make and colour is your everyday one?
2. Are you a load carrier or discrete fashion accessory person?
3. Designer or mass produced?
4. How many do you own?
5. How much makeup do you carry in it?
  • Enough for running repairs?
  • All you need for a full face slap?
  • None, as I only wear makeup on special occasions?

The bonus questions:
1. Name the brands of the last 5 handbags you bought?
2. How many do STEMO and Chris Gixer own and what colours?

 ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
