Not sure if correct place (Admin please feel free to move if not).

I have unsightly rust areas on my car.  Both rear arches and bottom of rear n/s door.  Was wondering if anyone can recommend a place where I can get some repair panels.

Can confirm what Rob has said,have just brought 4 rear arch replacements,they come in at around £35 each delivered

I looked at the link. They sell the actual rear wing panels for cheap? i.e. just need to find someone to weld them, Sorry if I've got confused but rust on my rear o/s arch is bad

Got it in one budget for the inner and outer though, so without looking, about £29 each side

Ok, something's amiss here 

A couple of years ago I had my wheel arch done by a body shop. When I say ''done'' they ground out the rust, filled it, shaped it and painted it. That was £250.

I asked what the options were around just replacing the panel and he said ''you're looking at a lot, probably over a grand''. 

What am I missing?

Just about to have a n/s arch replaced plus  front and rear bumpers repainted for £750

Cheers Nitro.... so you take your panel (from this shop) and it costs a few hundred to weld and paint? so its basically the labour of doing that where the cost is?

Meant to say that is for labour and paint, wheelarch panel supplied by me

Ti replace the rear 1/4 panel you will need to get the back end up, wheels off, rear bumper & carriers off, rear lamps. boot lid off, back seats, trims seat belts out, rear screen out sill mouldings off, fuel tank if your doing that side and all the boot trims.

Then start looking for all the spot welds and cut at certain points and then the 1/4 will come away. You can aslo factor in repairs to the inner wheel arch as the sill panel.

Then fit and spot or plug weld the panel back on make sure all the gaps between the rear door and boot lid line up, prep, paint and rebuild.

I'd say and good thirty hours labour + paint and materials and you can see where to money goes

Took four days including paint, stripping and refitting to do just that to mine, cost £1100 including parts... iirc, labour was £800, but I helped with the grunt work.

Had a result though, new old stock tailgate and rear quarter for £135 , bumper and taillight from a scrappy, odds and sods from Vauxhall...
