Key not working

Hi guys got a bit of a problem with the old mig. basically the battery went flat,last week :-[I first noticed last Saturday when remote would nt open doors, luckily for me rear passenger window can be slid down, changed battery over, started no problem but remote not working, if I lock on key the moment I open the horn starts bleeping until I stick key in ignition, not seen this b4 and changed batteries in past with no probs ??? have bugger something

Have you changed the remote battery?

No Al, just main battery, but while where on the subject, can you tell me how long should the led stay lit when you press and hold the fob, because mine goes out in fraction of a second, this key was also rebuilt last year :y

Try resyncing the key fob first

No clue how to do that mate :-[ at guess do I put key in ignition while pressing down on fob

Specifics are in the manual, but off the top of my head...

Key in, ign to 2, then press and hold lock button. Locks lock and unlock, also need to press and hold, then lift and hold each window switch in turn until you hear a click in the relevant door, same for sunroof I think :y

Top man :y :y :y, tried that but doors didnt lock when fob pressed with key in ignition, got out thought ah well, tried fob again from outside and bingo all working ;)
