Guess she won't be visiting Italy in the near future

She might not have a lot of choice.....  ::)

If her final appeal fails, it will be interesting to see if the Yanks are as keen to let one of their citizens go off to face foreign justice, as they are in extraditing foreigners to their shores.  :-\  ::)

She'll be fine, double jeopardy will be claimed by the yanks.
Odd case, then again it's in Italy ::)

I can't see the future but I will be very surprised if Uncle Sam lets one of his citizens be extradited to Italia

If her final appeal fails then maybe he would swap her for either Julian Assange or Edward Snowdon  :)

:( This case has been a shambles from day one , I know we complain about British policing , but compared to the Italians we have a pretty good system

Indeed an American legal expert has made the point that in the USA once found guilty, but then subsequently acquitted, you cannot be tried again for the same offence.  The acquittal stands and is final, as it would be if the first trial had reached an acquittal verdict.

We shall see what happens next, although I think it has made a mockery of the Italian justice system.

The crime was committed in Italy and is being tried under the Italian justice system, so in theory whatever US law says is irrelevant.  ::)

Maybe there's no such thing as double jeopardy in Italian law.  :-\

she is in the USA though, and Italian courts are meaningless there.

from what I have seen, they have zero evidence, other than dna on the knife she was killed with, in the house they all lived in. I see no reason why their dna wouldn't be on every item in the house. including the knife.
