eml on help please

Hi guys started the car today and what I think is the eml stayed on (looks like engine with a charge in the middle) I had a look about here but am confused about what it could be car runs ok but it does have a blowing exhaust  could this be the problem  any advice  thanks

right guys just done the paper clip test and getting codes 17 and 31 so in can someone tell what it mean as I have no idea about engines  :-\

31 is normal if engine off,17 is knock sensor circuit 2
