I gave up. The vast majority were owned by chavs, the rest were gold coloured. To be completely honest, that one was such a peach, any other was never going to live up to expectations  :'(

Like Omegas, even the newest prefacelifted ones are 11yrs old now, and like Omegas, the facelifted ones have interiors designed by bean counters to fall apart.

Still looking for some kind of replacement though, although we're getting by with "just" 2 cars.

How time flies by, it doesn't seem like two years ago since you posted about the accident. It clearly holds a place in your heart.

That body shape was used for mileage trials for the Cooper S engine. Must have shocked a few people when they came across one of those nippy little Rover 200's.  ;D

From previous discussions, you/us/most people do need a hatch back type vehicle, somewhere along the line.

It helps if the hatchback is mostly vertical, and opens into a cavernous interior. It might be nice if the car was RWD, and had a nice V6 under the bonnet.

If only Vauxhall had made such a thing!

If only Vauxhall had imported and rebadged such a thing at a sensible price!

This is why I changed what to buy, after 8 years I could not face having to buy something barely newer which would need work.

I was not allowed an estate (was looking at a 3.2 Elite), but they didn't realise what a Discovery is!
