Nah, there is a small plastic clip that locks the later FL locking pin surround to the doorcard. £22 + VAT trade...

Are we including Irmscher stuff?

Although if we're talking price per lb I wonder if the red tab wins.

No :y later facelifts have a trim collar which frames the pin where it passes through the door card. This is retained by a locking ring which clamps to the underside of the door card... these locking rings cost £22 :y

Am I likely to need one doing the door lock, with the card having to come off? :-\ :-\ :-\

Not likely :y

If you leave the pin in place when you remove the door card, the visible locking pin can simply be unscrewed without disturbing the locking tab :y

Unlike the PFL, you don't actually need to remove it to get the door card off :y Put another way, I never do ::) :y

Thanks Al. I am a bit confuddled. Are we talking about the door locking plunger? :-\

No need to touch door pin/plunger/bit with red plastic tab to remove door card on the face lift.
