Well, as over the past weeks I've noticed my poor dad's mig getting louder and louder and now it consumes 1 litre of oil per 300 miles (expensive habit that). This has occurred after he paid a garage to change his head gasket, They didn't change the stem seals and haven't commented on the amount removed from the head surface when it was skimmed!
You can bet your bottom dollar these are now deteriorated badly especially after seeing a parts washer and skim, The car smokes like no tomorrow too! Never have trusted garages myself
He came to me with the offer of paying for my insurance deposit and the final bits to get my mig on the road and, In a fit of insanity I agreed to do the work (with his help of course)!
I think I have finally tipped over the edge of sanity ... but how can I refuse? It's another 2.2 mig and I love working on them.
He was really surprised when I fired my car up and it made his sound like a bag of spanners .... that felt soooo good
So that's it, It's terminal. I think I'm going slightly mad
