When I used to valet cards, we used to do a full wet clean (including the head lining) followed by leaving a powerful de-ioniser on the back seat for 12 hours.

Got to agree with Mark here, the water gets in and the cleaning chemical just drags the muck out.  But if not too bad try a foam cleaner and genlry scrub the wort bits with a nail brush .

Just go over 2 or 3 time with the upholstry machine to get the liquid out.

Put seat covers over the leather first.

Try Odour Zapper from Aldi . Similar to Fabreze but more concentrated which seems to allow it to adhere to the surface longer.
I used it recently on an old feather sofa and was most impressed.

Fabreze will mask the small, all it does is seal one smell in the fabrib with annother small, when it wears off you are back to squre one.

If you remove the dirt (smoke fumes) then you remove the problem and it also looks cleaner and nicer.

It's like the smoke on the walls in houses and pubs, you use sugar soap to wash it off, you dont paint over it to hide it.

I use the a/c cleaners, then a good squirt of that oust (which seems better at removingthe underlying whiffs than many others).  Trouble is, car stinks like whores draws for days...

bicarbonate of soda, or epsom salts mixed 10/1 water concentrate will rid anything of whiffs. Also good for stain removal and on carpets ect.

(Read a womens house magazine on nights!)

But it bleeding well works!! :) :)
