Went to a 2 car bump last night, BMW series 3 Versus a little Fiesta. Fiesta driver 7 months pregnant and the crash was head-on. So I thought this could be nasty. Arrived at scene, spoke to paramedic who said I'll sort the pregnant lady out, you breathalyse the other woman, she stinks of booze. 1 test later, FAIL at nearly 4 X the legal limit  Half 6 on a wednesday??? FFS!!!!

Went up to the Hosi later on, the mother & bump were fine, but kept in for obs. Her legs took the brunt of the impact and didn't encroach near the bump. But very very shook up.

Credit where credits due the little Fiesta, only a year old gave a good account of itself, when presented with nearly 2 tons of BMW in its face.

It'll be longer than that just for the breath reading alone, hopefully the fact she caused an accident will push the sentence up further still.
Doubt the ban will be much longer than 3 years though

I can kind of understand that if the quality of driving is the issue but, really, someone who will drive 4x over the limit needs more than their standard of driving adjusted.
