advice please
« on: 07 June 2008, 19:57:05 »

hi all. i am seriously considering selling my car and getting an estate. was just wondering if anyone could advise me as to what i could realisticaly expect to ask/get for mine. it's a 2000 w 2.5 elite, all the toys including bose system and rear blind. was serviced 3 mths ago and had new cam belt and tensioners all done at vx dealer. got 9mths mot 2 mths tax. only done 46k. have got complete set of front and rear discs and pads waiting to be fitted. she does need 2 front tyres and the previous owner has scuffed the front bumper a bit. also has reverse park sensors. many thanks,

I bought my 2000 W Star silver facelift CDX V6 (truly immaculate with twice the miles) for £1250, if that's a guide. I did get a VERY fair deal though...

Yeh thats just a joke!

Low millage will help a lot..... BUT! - Even though the 2.5 will generally be as good, if not better on fuel than a 2.2/2.0 because its badged a V6 people will stay away due to fuel prices, thinking its bad on fuel.

I might be interested.  I am thinking of floggin mine and upgrading.

Although I have promised the missus that when she gets her license sorted out (long story) we will get rid of the omega (sob) and get a VW Eos.  We dont need 2 cars but lets just say I am not holding my breath about her getting her flippin license sorted, phew  :y

Talk to Phate321 who had it off me - but you'll probably recall he smashed it into a central reservation, and it now doesn't go where you tell it to go...  :'(
