Hi, I have a 2000 2.2 CDX. On friday the radio stopped working, i.e. would not turn on. When I left the car that night I noticed that the lights to the Radio and the MID stayed illuminated after I left and locked the car.

Not surprising my battery is now flat.

I assume the radio must be getting power for the lights to be on but why will they not go off and the centre display not go off?

Cheer

Sorted. Disconnected the battery to charge and when I reconnected all was all except I got the safe message when I tried to turn the radio on. Reset the code and all is well ☺

Yep. Mine does this every so often. I just pull the permanent supply fuse to the radio (fuse 12 or 13, IIRC) the pop it back in and it's fine again. :-\
