heated seats not working
« on: 24 February 2014, 18:29:46 »

Hi

I very rarely us the heated seats but  went to demo them  to a friend tonight & as I rotated the drivers heated seat switch , the little orange light came on for a split second & then went off with a click from behind the switch .

Now neither of front heated seats work .   Fuse 14 I think for this  but heated rear window , power steering & climate are  all working  fine. :-\ :-\

any ideas please?

Looking at Owners manual Pages 186/187 fuses 15/20 & 29 also are listed as possibly being the problem worth checking those to not sure if there is a relay for heated seats , if both have gone points to a fuse but what is the underlying cause of popping fuses ? done it once probably do it again could be trapped wiring under seat or a sign of deteriorating heater pads .

Thanks will check those out .

Heaters were working , but as said hardly ever use them .

Just worried in case it has effected something else.
