Hello. I went away, and am going away again for a little while until I sort myself out.

The post about going to Zurich was a red rag to a bull - it wasn't intended that way by the OP, but that's the way I read it and the context of my reaction. Frankly it made me livid. Some have said that I over-reacted, but how on earth can you say that without being in my shoes? There have been plenty of tantrums by people leaving and then coming back - now it's my turn.

In summary, my head is not in a good place at the moment. This is due to a combination of things which have conspired to make me feel worthless. Time will fix this hopefully.

So, until I have something positive to report I'm off again - hopefully "I'll be back", but only when I'm good & ready ready.

Hope things go well for you,might be worth seeing a doctor,they do counselling if your suffering from stress and depression,im in the same boat too,havnt been able to have a holiday in the past 5 years and stuck looking at the same walls in my flat when i do have a holiday,hope to see you back again and hope you get everything sorted out

I'm sorry to hear you're in a dark place just now Rob, as already mentioned a fair few of us here have been through the mill in one way or another and not just the once, so collectively we have an idea of where you are at the moment
Tbh, retreating into a corner will probably prolong your unhappy state for longer than it needs to be, so dropping in here even briefly from time to time to check on the 'dangle berries' others are posting or just to vent some excess steam or whatever, would be better than nothing .

Rob sorry to hear things aren't great. I can see where you are coming from as I don't have a pot to piss in and would give my right bollock for a bit of luxury abroad, even working ! Some people are in better places and may find it difficult to appreciate how hard things can be for others at the moment, good luck to them though  

Whatever is going on for you there is support around, on here and elsewhere. I have had my share of feeling worthless and would be happy to give you a bit of support if you choose to rejoin at some point and wanted to PM me.

I've done that trip (it comes as standard with the chemo), and my sympathies are with you.
It will get better eventually.
