It has Airmatic so is able to select wallow to comparatively firm suspension. I can feel every crisp packet when mine's in 'sport' mode.

Yup, good looking cars the CLS. Never been in one though, smooth as the Omega in terms of ride comfort?

Despite costing almost twice what a Monaro would cost when new, the CLS is no more expensive when purchased used.

Less in some cases.

As for German cars holding their value....... Pah !!! don't believe it, Mr Tunnie. ;)

That is a good point  :y

It's on the list for potential replacements, but as a 320 CDi, as MrsT likes her Mercs.  ::)

That said, that piece of shit Renault I had in Ireland, the first thing she said was, 'Wow, what a nice car'  ::)  :-X

I soon put her right  ;D

Good to hear it can be comfy as well, despite the Omega's age, it's still one of the best cars for ride comfort i've been in. Better than a lot of newer cars, only thing that has beaten it so far is the Jag XJ  :)

With options, my CLS was close to £70,000 when new.

I paid less than 10% of that. :y (£6750)

What's not to like. ;D

I reckon that a good 2006 Monaro would cost in the £7-£10,000 range.

If only every Vauxhall ( I mention no names  ::) ::)) held it's value so well.

There's a few high mileage (70k) 06 options on auto trader. For similar money.

Might be an omega replacement option Opti. :y

It's just that shape, for me. Estate options are hugely expensive though, by the looks.

Vxr8 prices seam to have gone up. Or the higher miles ones have been sold. :(

Is this the same car that has been stood on your drive for the last couple of years, Andy?

If so, keep hold of it.

The Vauxhall Omega (especially in Elite form) is about to become 'sought after'........Just ask Robber Budden. :y

It is (though it's not been stood - I do try to keep it in use) but .............. I've just put an ad on a well know automotive trading website about an hour ago. There's not the room at Andy B towers as there is at Opti Towers  ;D ;D ;D There are 4 cars here between the 2 of us.  ::) ::)
