I'll get one but only flaw is you live over 100 miles away from me and I think most electric cars won't do more than 100 miles ;D

I have had 102 miles out of one charge but I had to drive so carefully it was exhausting :D

What car do you drive?

Full electric cars are cool in my opinion, even the leaf. I did recently watch a documentary on the history of electric cars recently though which may have influenced my opinion.

Have you worked out how much it costs to do a full charge at home?

I like it, it's nippy and cheap to run.  I haven't worked out the exact cost of a charge yet but it's about £2 from which I get between 60-90 miles. 8)

It's a shame they only do 16A sockets. If they did a 32A one, I'd be interested.. And I'd inform them that the best location would be just by my workbench.... where I boil my home brew park my Leaf.  ::)

So, for a smallish car, that would cost around £10 in petrol or £7 in diesel.
How much per month is the battery rental?

Surely the batteries are included in the purchase price. Therefore my question would be......how much to replace the batteries and how long do they last?

The batteries are rented if you need them to be or, as Matt said, you can purchase. Either way, a price consideration.

Just had a look at the Nissan site. From £70 a month.
I only use about £90 a month in fuel.

I'm guessing that new batteries cost well into four figures.........and as for their longevity, I have no idea.

That's because everyone you know has died of extreme old age. :) Hence, no need to visit. :)
