Cambelt labour charge
« on: 17 March 2014, 15:40:41 »

Does anyone know how much a garage would be likely to charge for labour to change a cambelt?

Many thanks. :y

Not sure I'd trust a garage to do it. They'll charge the Earth and I'd be worried about how they'd timed it up. Get one of the mobile chaps on here to do it. You'll have piece of mind and at a reasonable price. Very reasonable in fact :)

It's no use fluttering your eyelashes at Looney, Kate, cause he's gay. James, on the other hand......well....he could teach you about cambelts and you could teach him.....erm......a thing or two. ;D

I got mine done by dealer for under £300 and the important thing is you have some comeback. On my belt change in 2008 a tensioner bolt allegedly snapped and engine was toast within 5 minutes of driving it out of garage. New engine fitted at no cost to me. Longish story of blame and counter blame.

James keeps ignoring me, too, Kate; but if you can put salt on his tail, he does a perfect job!

All I want is my timing belt doing.

I'm ugly so eyelash fluttering doesn't work. Actually it tends to put the price UP for some reason? ;D

Start by getting a dealer price near you and take it from there
