James is great, good work and a really nice chap. Like me, he can be difficult to get hold of, he is very busy.

Try Daz, Darth Loo Knee, he's based in Stoke on Trent. Again, his work is totally top notch. Try PM'ing him, or if you get no response PM me and I'll pass your phone number to him and get him to call you.  :y

Start by getting a dealer price near you and take it from there

Over 2 years ago VX quoted me £1,333 to change cambelt, water pump, aux belt, plugs and oil !!

I took it for a run up the motorway to DLK. Job expertly done in no time and oatcakes for lunch !  :y

Just done the cam belt and water pump on a family 2.5 V6. First time I paid Vauxhall in Swindon to do my first V6 and iirc it was £345. Had ElitePete do one on my old white plod and did my old black 3.2 Elite with help from other OOFers at the cam belt meet a few years ago. In future I will do my own as I have the locking kit and the DVD. No T shirt as yet ;D ;D ;D must see Daz for a Lamda sensor move when I get the Elite back.

Kate, all,

You have my honest promise I'm not intentionally ignoring you, I've just had loads going on in my life lately, some not good. As a result, as much as I love OOF and tinkering, I've had to be realistic about where it is in my priorities

I'm still happy to assist, can you give me some revised dates?

£300 at a dealer? Wow, I got a quote (out of interest) and for the cambelt kit fitted and new water pump...... £700 and something !!!!!!!!!

Even when i fittied the cambelt, wrecked the valves, repaired and then fitted new cambelt it didnt come to even half that! lol
