I am getting quite excited about our prospects in the World Cup. That was a great goal.

So ... let me see if this simpleton can follow this "argument" (as a non-football supporter) .. most of the posters, in various threads, seem to indicate that Mr Rooney is useless, overpaid, ugly (??), and married to a "wrongun", (in their opinions) as he cannot score goals (not sure what that has to do with his appearance and marital partner but heyho...) ..... but now he HAS scored he's still useless ... because he did not score in a certain "way"    

Seems strange, but as the "logic" of football supporters seems a tad strange anyway .... if the team win the players are fantastic .. but if next week the same 11 players lose the manager is at fault and should be sacked ...  strange logic IMHO ....
