Marketing calls
« on: 26 March 2014, 18:56:58 »

Has anyone else noticed a proliferation of this type of call lately? I used to get a few every week, now it's about three a day. I had one earlier telling me I was entitled to claim for industrial deafness, he soon got the message when I kept asking him to repeat himself.
Just had one from a solar panel company, she sounded very nice, we chatted for a good ten minutes. Anyway, I've got a chap coming round at 9:30 on Monday to speak to me about it. I'll be out with my dog. :)

Mate of mine had a conservatory company give him the hard sell, he eventually caved in and made an appointment for someone to come out to him.
By all accounts the person that turned up wasn't impressed to find he wanted the conservatory fitted to the balcony of his 3rd floor flat.

We get door to door double glazing salesman round occasionally.

I usually accompany them onto the drive and look from the outside of the house "yep, they're still there, not been stollen" .....bemused look. "We've ALREADY GOT double glazing, see? " ::)
