Never heard of the term before myself. Plus, why is there money involved in it?

I can't image he didn't know the of the term, else otherwise why would they have included it in the prog? I can't say that I've ever heard of the term myself though   

There was a slope on the bridge, ie the roadway had one side higher than the other, tis all a load of old cobblers, big fuss about nothing...........

Yep and even if JC's comment was meant to be derogatory Hamster said straight away"yes it is lower on that side" so don't know what all the fuss is about

The whole series shows desperation for laughs/interest. It speaks volumes that they've got so desperate, they're now trying cheap shots that don't even register with most viewers anyway.
Drop the 'Adventures of the Fun Boy Three' approach. Most of the mishaps are so predictable, it's cringe worthy.

If 90% of the population / viewers were unaware of the "connotation" of the comment .. what were they achieving ?? some private joke ?? ....  a desperate joke/cheap shot only works if the target audience hear it and react ... so the point .. if they were actually trying to make one .. becomes pointless

barely noticed the slant[1] on the bridge, TBH

god help us when the aliens arrive, and we get sued cos "green" means being sick.
