Terrible news, lets hope things improve rapidly.....
As to the Warfarin ... was she "actively" taken off it ?? .. a medical decision with a reason behind it or..... did they simply not give it to her ??
When Mrs E was in hospital recently she went through a period when they were quite worried about her high blood pressure .. putting her on a monitor every 30 minutes etc etc which stopped her sleeping and was generally uncomfortable.. so she asked why .... she was not being given her blood pressure tablets that she has taken for many years, and had taken in to hospital with her .... looks of amazement all round.... because they were "her" pills and not hospital prescribed they were not in her notes, so they remained locked in her cabinet ..... Que a rushed call to a doc who gave the OK and the pills were given and the blood pressure returned to normal....
Pretty mundane in comparison to your horrible misfortune .. but possibly the same cause ?? Which I would call "poor administration" rather than "poor treatment"
