3.2 or 3.0?

my 2.5 put a leg out of bed and im wondering will all my 2.5 gear like starter, alternator,plenum etc fit straight on to the 3.2. also was wondering which is the stronger engine 3.0 or 3.2? car is for track and will be getting abuse, cheers

3.0 all day long if you want simple component swapwbility.

I'd say the 3.2 has more durable head gasket and manifold gaskets.

But then, if you have 2.5 spares that fit, 3,0 makes sense.

il be putting head gasket and a couple of other things on before putting it in , also have 2.6 manifolds. would they fit on 3.0?

The responses you are likely to get are:

TB will say the 3.0 is just as quick as the 3.2 with better fuel efficiency and chrisgixer will disagree and say 3.2 is better because of the extra 0.2cc and it's easier to work on.

But considering it's going to waste, might as well use up the stock of 3.0s :-X

I've never mentioned the 0.2 cc. But your not far off. There's an awful lot of gubbins under a 3.0 bonnet.

Not really relevant here though. Due to spares.

My 2p for the OP. Go for the 3.0l for the same reason everyone else.
