I've removed the top 2 screws on top where the air vent was.

If you mean the light switch control , you need 2 old credit cards or similar to slot down both sides to press the tangs in  :y

If you are trying to remove the entire end housing you will need to remove the dash end section with "airbag" warning sticker on it to gain access to several other locating screws.

Ope drivers door fully and end trim can be gently persuaded again with couple of kitchen butter knives ,then you will have access.Head light switch does also need to come out as described  :y

Found out the rattle is coming from this area, Seems to be the air vent wheel...

If only, Pulled the air vent out and stuffed a microfiber cloth in there with the flap closed and the noise went away, Take it away it rattles.

Be careful when dismantling because there are more screws as you progress through the removal. An offset screwdriver is particularly useful here and make sure the head is the right size, to avoid stripping the surface of the screw. Access for grips is not easy.
I recall there also being a small 'light indicator' or plastic light magnifier somewhere in the open/shut wheel assembly? Not certain if they are standard but I'd imagine this would rattle annoyingly, if dislocated, so, note the position and check this is not the original 'rattle'?
Patience and notes will pay-off when taking this lot out. If it's tight then don't force it to breaking point. Inspection will probably reveal another fastener so note their location.
Good luck.

Thanks Colin C , Still no luck getting the light switch out, Think I'm going to have to buy something thin to slide in there, I've got the right side free using top up cards, Left side just chews up chards, Just not thin enough...

I've got some good quality insulation tape coming, I'm going to try and patch up the areas I think may be causing the rattle while it's in place. If that fails i'll break it out and buy replacement parts  ;D can't take this noise any more.

Managed to get it out after loads of swearing and cuts later... Looks like it's been out before, One of the clips on the light switch was lose out managed to grab it before it got itself lost and the other the wrong way around, Took the one out on the 2.2 in literally 30 seconds, Copied the way the clips are placed on that and all is ready for things to go back once the rattle is sorted  :y
