finaly sold it

its been a long two years love and hate thing .Love the old 2.2 but its been hard work keeping it on the road lots of little haggles but loved the mpg and the comfort but it has been sitting for the last 4 months blocking the drive so onto ebay it went and sold last night .As it  has sold thought ide take it out for a little run around today just to say goodbye only round the block forgot just how nice it was to drive kinda hope the buyer don't turn up now.Any ideas how to siphon the diesel out cant let it go with over half a tank.

I used a Pela oil extractor to empty the tank on my Astra before I scrapped it. Removed the feed to the filter form the tank, shoved the suction pipe down the fuel pipe, taped it up to help make a air/vacuum seal & sucked it out. In the absence of a pump you could syphon from the same point  :-\ :-\

That would probably use about 5L..... ::)

air con don't work so would only be about 2 but wifey has a diesel citroen and half a tank in the mig would last her 6 months, mouth full of diesel time .

That would probably use about 5L..... ::)
