People may knock the senny but when the 24v engine was relised in 1990 and the 12v from 1987 they had and the remaining examples still do have as much toys and gadgets as your omegas, and they had a 10stack cd player compared to the megas 6 stack, i know its petty but its true. That staright 6 24v engine could still give your 3.0 and 3.2 v6's a run for its money. Didnt it once hold the record for the fastest mass produced saloon car in the late 80's and early 90's ( so i read somewhere)

That was the title given to the Lotus Carlton, it also held the title of the world's fastest 4 seater and fastest front engined RWD car for many years as well untill Ferrari built a 199 mph 4 seater.

I dont think you have to work on any V6 Miggy owner on the merits of the 24V Senny, we all love them and many of us would like to have the best of both.

The one saving grace is that you are staying faithfull to the 24V Gm /Vx and not jumping ship for a Ford or a Jap.
I for one hope you stay in touch with the forum and post us some picciesof the Senny.

All the best matey :y

I know for certain race/rally classes they had to be mass produced, and someone will correct me if I am wrong but I believe that number had to be a run of 200 cars or more, the LC ran to nearly 900.  The Ferrari F40 was only ever expected to 200 +1 for the Ferrari boss but as it was the only Ferrari at the time making money they carried on prodcing itand made a few hundred more

Equivalent M5 at that time wasn't as nice as the GSi3000 24V

Personal choice,

Why buy a Senny when there are other options

We pay's our money and makes our choices.

If I went for a beemer it would be one of the older ones, and given the choice it would be a 3.0 CSL

OH that grill lizzie, what were vauxhall thinking when they designed that grill but its so iconic. Very brittol though. I shattered 2 on my old one just by closing the bonnet a bit to hard. My favourite part has to be the twin tail pipes. I love the shape Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. Oh my god im going mad look at me getting all excited over the car!!!

Who wouldn't Thomas over the thought of acquiring a Senny!  In fact they must be the ones who are mad if they cannot appreciate that! :y

As for that grill........a great idea as you could always recognize a Senny half a mile away by it....very useful if it was a white police patrol car!  Saved me from acquiring a ticket on many an occasion! ;D ;)

Good luck with the Senny.  I always wanted one when I was younger, but the couple I've driven recently (both 24v 3.0) have been disappointing, both performnce wise and handling (too 'pointy' even for me)

funnily enough, 4 out of my 5 senny's were white. (the other was a metallic burgundy)

really useful when in a hurry back then i can tell you....  especially with aerials on the roof for the phone and radio.,....

my favourite "B" was my F reg 12 valve. (somewhat tweakified engine....  ;) )

i did more than 250K in that.

the H reg 24 Valve was alright, but used more oil, (long term at high mileage, it was alright to start with though) and being red, got less respect on the road....    :y

the best ever though was the D reg 12 valve  Senny A (facelift) I had....   same (rather tweaked) engine as the B , but smaller lighter body...  brutally quick , ate Cossies and M-Beemers for breakfast....  again, covered better than 250K ..... (and was for a time, the fastest hackney plated vehicle in the uk )
