Sticking Caliper
« on: 14 June 2008, 13:58:28 »

Front of my omega developed a grind and squeal this week when braking....I checked the pads about 3/4 weeks ago and they were fine about 1/2 worn......so i was convinced it wasnt worn pads but decided to change em anyway this morning.......did drivers side first and was shocked they were just about metal on metal  :o and thought how did those wear out so quick..... :-/
Passenger side were a tad under 1/2 worn but changed em anyway

So it looks like drivers side caliper is sticking  :( I'll have to keep an eye on it....tho maybe changing the pads may have freed it  :-/

If not I'll have to take it to the garage and give it the treatment one of the backs got when that decided to start sticking.....wheel and pads off and go mad with the air line  ;D The amount of dust/dirt that came flying out was amazing.....and it cured it, not been sticking since  :y

It was typical it was the drivers side tho.........no pad sensor on that side on facelifts.......so no warning  :(
