Strange Audio/Locking Problem

Ok just had a weird one on my 2000 2.5 V6 GLS. Never had any problem like this before but when turning off the car today I took the key out and noticed the radio was still on but when I opened the door it went off! Then when I closed the door after getting out the radio came back on again! To top it off as well when the door is closed the remote central locking wont operate but it will when the door is open! And neither will the remote boot release operate when the door is closed but it will when its open! Anyone have any ideas?

Check that the Ing Barrel is fully popped out when you remove the Ing Key.

Check the door switches also, they have 2seperate switching circuits and when mine failed strange things happened. Not sure that explains the first part of your question though.

Yes I thought Ignition first but the barrel is popping out and when the door is open pulling the key does turn off the radio and lets the boot release operate but as soon as you close the door again the radio comes back on and the boot release wont operate and neither will it lock from the remote key although will still lock if I put the key in the door! Ive also checked the main door pin switch and it seems to operate ok i.e turning interior light on and off.... so im bewildered! Although it still seems like an ignition issue but its like the final position of the ignition has swapped to being operated by the door which I know is crazy!

Test the door switch with a multimeter if you can to check both parts are switching  :y

Got even stranger today! Went to the car this morning and it was back to operating normally again. Went to work still fine left work went to pick kids up from school still fine get home turn car off and lock doors still fine then opened boot to get school bags out and after about 30 seconds the doors unlocked on their own and the radio came back on and it was back to its weird state! I'm now worried its going to unlock itself after I walk away from the car!

Check wires that go to the boot,could be split and shorting out.
