I don't see too much issue on costs tbh. It's the cheaper ends the market after all.

Problem I have is time to do all the work on them. 3.2 is like painting the fourth bridge keeping on top of maintenance. Then, you think you've fixed something, then the part fitted turns out to be a dud and needs re doing.

That REALLY hacks me off.  >:(

I tend to think that having more than one car, much like having more than one bike, means there's always a backup. Only falls down when everything breaks at once...

Indeed, owning 2 Omegas, its nice to have a spare car ;D. Since losing the little Rover in a car sandwich, we've really struggled...

...trouble is, we got another bloody Vauxhall, so its been known to have 3 faulty cars on the drive ;D

Good reading,

Sounds like it shouldn't be a problem. I'm with Bell (Admiral Grp) so will give them a call,

I have just phoned Churchill car insurance and insured an astra 1800 elegance automatic mk4 along with my omega fully comp on both and as stated earlier on here by another member ,they told me that they mirror the n.c.d.between the two cars because i am the only named driver on both policies get an only driver discount. And at the moment they are giving basic green flag cover at the roadside and a free hire car if needed...ok..it is only a 1.0 ltr but its free....And i am an old retired person,so i reckon for just under £600 for both is fine  :D :y

But the conversely I've just had a quote to add my 24 year old daughter to one of our cars, 1600 auto C3 - she's had a licence since Jan 2008 & been driving her own car for the past few years. Last year I paid a little over £900 to insure all three cars on a 'Family Fleet' policy and the quote to add her till the end of the policy - Oct - was ..................

£1300  :o  :o  :o  :o  :o  :o  :o  :o or £51something a week  ???

Crikey that's expensive! Although you should probably be thankful she's a she and not a he or it'd be even worse.. ;D

My other half pays under £300 fully comp on her 2001 998cc Micra.. it'd be cheaper for you to buy her a Micra and insure it (and run it!) than to pay the insurance on the C3.. ;D

[edit] I should probably add that my other half is only 22.. I know, cradle snatcher, etc, etc.. ;D

MrsGK wanted to go on my insurance on the Elite, bearing in mind its about 500 for me, they wanted over a grand to put her on as a named driver. If i get a new quote it adds about £30...
