brakes
« on: 09 June 2014, 11:17:04 »

well, just had a friend at work put new discs and pads on the front, its but when he came to do the rear pads, he said the pins were very rusty, so just ordered new ones. My point being, is the car came with a full service history, and all the work was carried out by vauxhall, but the guy has said that the rear brake pads were "shot", and had not been done for a long time..... so much for F,ing vauxhall >:(

There are no manufacturers who change pads as part of a service.

I ddi not know that, I thought the brakes would be part of a service, explains a lot. Anyway, the fronts are new, apart from the callipers, and ordered the pins, so new rear pads (as the discs are like new) will be done on sat :) :)

What you will find is that the garage will inspect them and advise the customer if they require attention.....then its upto the customer to authorise the work or not  :y
