Gordon Brown's futuristic eco-towns to fine residents for driving out of city limits
http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/politics/article4152196.ece#cid=OTC-RSS&attr=797084

What's really terrifying is that the alternative is Cameroon, also a statist greenoid. We are going to have to do more than b*tch and moan if we are to stop them crushing us.

There is a fix for a lot of this carbon stuff

1) reforestation grow softwood as crops and hard wood for carbon capturing and for wood

Hard wood is expensive but very usefull for building and restoration work.

2) Algae farms, large glass vats with air pumped through and use the grown algae for food or fuel. Try desert areas for this

When will people wake up to this huge hoax about global warming and CO2 emissions?

They go on and on about the polar ice caps melting because of all our CO2, but are they really melting? Well, if you listen to the mainstream leftie media they are. But then, if you check the facts, you'll see that the total Arctic ice concentration for May 2008 is 10.9 million square kilometers - the same as it was in May 1980. All the while CO2 levels have gone up.

At the other side of the planet the Antarctic is still experiencing record ice. Since 1980 total ice concentration is up 35% and ice extent is up 21%.

See http://www.globalwarminghoax.com/comment.php?comment.news.76

This ridiculous obsession with CO2, (which makes up only 0.037% of our atmosphere) is driving the western economies downhill fast. And STILL few question the mantra about emissions.

It all political and uses bogus science as a fig-leaf!

Makes my blood boil!   >:( >:(

He may as well rename them ghost towns cos I'm breaked if I'd live anywhere I can't have my double garage adjoining the house let alone parking 10 miles away and cycling. Great picking grounds for car thieves too. >:(

CO2 is a obsession but there are fixes as I have stated - replanting forests is the best.

Perhaps we should all just plant our gardens with more plants?

I bet all the weeds in my garden are busy offsetting my 284g/km.  ::)

People used to live in greenland a few hundred years ago, now its all iced over.

Must have been all those 4x4 drivers in the 14th century that caused the ice to come down....

I think there is little doubt that man is having an effect, but I think it has been wildly overstated...
